If the value provided is not appropriate for the application, perform the following steps before calling DBCHCL:
- Set Change-options to 'Y'.
- Change the value for Return-time as follows.
If time stamps are... Then change the value for Return-time to... to be provided Y not to be provided N
When timestamps are specified for the Fetch function, the timestamps provided are only valid on the first call to DBCHCL for the Fetch function. The timestamps may be changed later, for instance, if DBCHCL exchanges information with the database to keep the response buffer stocked.
It is recommended that only diagnostic applications use the timestamp capability.
The Fetch, Rewind, End Request, and Abort functions read and use the value of Return Code, but do not store it.
