Complete all three steps for an application seeding workflow.
  1. Click Actions and then select Create Application Seeding Workflow.
  2. Enter a workflow name.
  3. From the Source System list, select an email.
  4. Enter the Estimated RPO in seconds.
    The Recovery Point Object (RPO) is the maximum time frame, at the system level, to lose changes in data in the event of a major outage.
  5. Select the box to add a RPO alert.
    If you select the box, Ecosystem Manager sends email notification and displays the alert information in the alert viewer, if the defined RPO is exceeded. If you do not select the box, Ecosystem Manager displays the alert information in the alert viewer, but does not send email notification.
  6. From the Source System Server name list, select a server.
  7. Enter the Database user name.
  8. Enter the associated Database password.
  9. From the Target System Server name list, select a server.
  10. Enter the Database user name.
  11. Enter the associated Database password.
  12. Enter the Host name.
  13. Enter the OS user name
  14. Enter the OS password or SSH key.
    Option Description
    OS Password Password you entered for the Host system.
    SSH Key SSH Private key file contents. Ecosystem Manager generated the SSH Key file to access the Host system.
  15. From the Data Mover Server list, select the Data Mover server name.
    You must scroll down to see this step.
  16. Enter the Data Mover Rest service port number.
  17. Select the check box to enable security.
    If enabled, you must enter user name and password.
  18. Enter the Job user name.
  19. Enter the Job password.
  20. Click Next.
  21. Choose an object selection method.
    When you select the top box on a view, you only select objects you can see in that view. To select all objects, select the top box on every page.
    Option Description
    Manual Manually select objects.
    Application Select the Application name. Applications are created through the Ecosystem Configuration portlet.
    Query band Select the Source. Enter a Date Range and a Query band.
    DBQL Select the Source. Enter the Date Range, Account String and User name.
    After you select a filter, you can change the objects selected.
    • All Selected - This option shows all available objects.
    • Selected Objects - This option shows only the selected objects using any of the filters.
    • None Selected - This option shows all the objects that were not selected with the filter.
  22. Click Create Workflow.
