You must create two backup jobs. One includes all the databases under DBC and excludes the DBC database automatically and one includes only the DBC database.
- From the BAR Operations Saved Jobs view, create a backup job that saves the databases under DBC:
- Click New Job.
- Select the Backup job type, then click OK.
- In the New Backup Job view, enter a job name, such as Backup-DBC-All.
- Select a Source System from the list.
- Enter the user credentials.
- Select a Target Group from the list.
- Select the DBC database in the Objects tab.
- Click next to the DBC database.The Settings dialog box appears.
- Check the Include all children databases and users box.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
- Click on Backup-DBC-All and select Run.
- From the BAR Operations Saved Jobs view, create a backup job that saves only the DBC database:
- Click New Job.
- Select the Backup job type, then click OK.
- In the New Backup Job view, enter a job name, such as Backup-DBC-Only.
- Select a Source System from the list.
- Enter the user credentials.
- Select a Target Group from the list.
- [Optional] Add a Description.
- Select the DBC database in the Objects tab.
- [Optional] To verify the parent and objects selected, click the Selection Summary tab.Size information is not available for DBC backup jobs. N/A displays as the size value for DBC backup jobs.
- [Optional] To adjust job settings for the job, click the Job Settings tab.
- Click Save.
- Click on Backup-DBC-Only and select Run.
- Save the name of both backup job save sets.The backup jobs must complete with a COMPLETED_SUCCESSFULLY or WARNING status before you can create a restore job.
