Use the Query Window to enter and execute a query. The results from queries are placed into one or more Answerset windows. For more information, see Query Window Introduction.

The Answerset window is a table that Teradata SQL Assistant uses to display the output of a query. For more information, see Answerset Window Introduction.

The History window is a table that displays past queries and related processing attributes. The past queries and processing attributes are stored locally in a Microsoft Access database. This provides flexibility to work with previous SQL statements in the future. For more information, see History Window Introduction.

In addition to the three main windows, the optional Database Explorer Tree and Favorites panes can be displayed at the left or right side of the main window. For more information on these features, see Database Explorer Tree or Favorites and Examples Pane. The following section lists other related topics.
