- Message
- Excess tasks started by PDE
- Explanation
- PDE initiated a TPA shutdown because the number of tasks it is creating exceeded the NPROC parameter for this node.
- Generated By
- PDE Initialization.
- For Whom
- System Support Representative.
- Notes
- None
- Remedy
- Check vproc task requirements in /tpasw/etc/tpastartup and number of vprocs in /ntos/vconfig.out. If this combination exceeds the operating system NPROC parameter, adjust these values or increase the NPROC tunable parameter using idtune. Given that the default limit is in excess of what is needed for any recommended configuration, this may be caused by an error during PDE package installation. If so, redoing the pkgadd will solve the problem.
