In you have the following line in the job variable file:

OP_NAME = “LOAD”

in the script:

DEFINE OPERATOR MyOperator
TYPE @OP_NAME 

will be replaced with the identifier, LOAD (note that the double quotes are omitted in the replacement).

Later, if you want to switch to using the Update Operator, you only need to update your job variable file to:

OP_NAME = “UPDATE”

and in the script:

DEFINE OPERATOR MyOperator
TYPE @OP_NAME 

will be replaced with the identifier, UPDATE (note that the double quotes are omitted in the replacement).
