Tasks 1 through 3 are required on all systems. Other tasks are optional, based on system needs.
- Make sure you understand how the VantageCloud Lake system handles character data. See Character Set Categories and Object Names.
- Determine whether you can use system character set defaults. See System Default Character Support.
- Review the object naming topic to understand the rules that determine which characters are valid in object names for your system. See Object Names.
- Select the client character sets that you need:
