VantageCloud Lake supports the following tools and utilities:
- Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) for loading data to primary cluster block storage tables (MultiLoadX protocol is not supported). For more information, see Run large bulkloads efficiently with Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT).
- .NET Data Provider, GoSQL, R, and Python driver connections without TLS support
- Basic Teradata Query (BTEQ)
- ODBC. For more information, see Use Vantage with ODBC on Ubuntu.
- JDBC. For more information, see Connect to Vantage using JDBC.
The following capabilities are not supported:
- Bulk Load and Extract protocols (FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport) to Object File System
- Statement Independence and MLOADX
- Mainframe Cloud-Network Connectivity
- TLS-encrypted connections from client tools and drivers in TTU suite
- System emulation
- The TTU standalone utilities (FastLoad, FastExport, MultiLoad, and TPump) are deprecated and not supported. Use Teradata® Parallel Transporter instead.
- Oracle Solaris operating system is not supported.
- IBM AIX operating system will only be supported until June 2024.
