TD_LZ_DECOMPRESS Argument Type and Rules - Teradata Vantage

Expressions passed to this function must have the same data type as those of the corresponding compress function, TD_LZ_COMPRESS. The input must be of type VARBYTE, BLOB, or a combination of the two.
