US-ASCII Character Set
US-ASCII replaced Teradata ASCII (TD-ASCII) as the default character set, while retaining the current ASCII user interface.
US-ASCII defines 128 characters and is more popular and easier to understand than Teradata ASCII. See US-ASCII Character Set.
