This reference document for the Teradata Vantage application programming interfaces (APIs) describes the following types of APIs and how to use them to interface with your custom applications when other tools (such as resource usage reports) or client applications do not provide the information you need:
  • Workload Management API

    Workload management APIs can be used for creating third-party applications and custom applications requiring the acquisition and use of Teradata workload management and performance data.

    The workload management PM/APIs described in this document use monitor software versions 11 and earlier (see MONITOR VERSION for details). These PM/APIs allow you to create new applications and enhance existing custom applications.

  • Automated Statistics Management API

    The Automated Statistics Management open APIs can be issued from customer applications. You can use these APIs to identify unused or outdated statistics and cardinality estimation errors, and to override SQL COLLECT STATISTICS statement settings in specific well-defined scenarios.

The following content is mainly applicable to the standard nodes of the primary cluster in VantageCloud Lake and may not apply to compute clusters on the primary cluster.
