SQL Date literal values consist of the keyword DATE followed by a date enclosed in single quotes with the format YYYY-MM-DD such as DATE ‘20003-12-31’. When dragging a literal Date into a variable, the following tree element is created.
The current date is provided as a default, but can be changed via the Properties panel. Double-click on the date or highlight and click Properties.
Either the standard Windows Calendar control (reached by selecting the pull-down arrow of the selector) can be used to set the desired date by clicking through the months in the calendar using the < and > buttons, or the date can be set by just typing in the desired values for the month, day and year, one at a time.
To specify the time portion of the Date and Time fields, highlight the hours, minutes and/or seconds and type in the desired values.
