Calling this function returns the largest n values of a column or expression, with or without ties. When dragging a Top element into a variable, the following tree element is created.
Variable Creation > Input > Variables: SQL Elements pane - Aggregation > Time Series > Top
Columns and/or other non-aggregate expressions can be moved over the (empty-Value Expression) branch of the tree, while an integer numeric literal representing the number of values to return can be moved over the (empty-Number of Values) branch of the tree. The option to include ties in selected rows is provided, resulting in the generation of TOP WITH TIES(…, …). This option is enabled through the Properties panel. Double-click on Top, or highlight it and click Properties.
